Do most ppl use a variety of classes or stick to one. What class is generally quickest for lvling?BFBC2 good weapons and best class for ranking up?
Classes in BFBC2 are generally balanced when it comes to combat, Assault maybe being just a tad better. However, each one plays a different support role. This is important to leveling because in BC2, leveling goes much, much quicker if you play support.
Assault plays the least when it comes to support, but they still play a minor role: they supply ammo to their buddies. When it comes to combat, they're probably the best all-around. For guns, the ones most used are probably the XM8P, and later on the M16.
Engineers play the anti-tank role. They use the RPGs to take down the tanks, and the power tool to fix friendlies. When it comes to combat, they're probably the best for close-range. The guns most used are the XM8C and AKS-74u.
Medics play the role of, obviously, the medic. When a buddy's low on health, or dead, they swoop in and help out. When it comes to combat, they're probably the best for suppressing fire. The guns most used are the M249 SAW and the XM8 LMG (medics used to be flooded with M60s, but they nerfed them THANK GOD).
Snipers play a very special support role: the combat support role. The whole point of the sniper is to defend friendlies. In Rush, when an ally's going to storm a building, the sniper should make sure no one gets into the building. When it comes to combat, they're probably the best for defense-make sure you grab a good position (high ground isn't necessarily good though!). Snipers usually use the M24 and the M95.
Preferred Tactic:
To answer your question, however, the medic is by far the quickest, and easiest, to level with. Combat is out of the question-a kill will net you 50 points, maybe 60 with a headshot. But for a kill, you have to hunt. With the medic, the map points out who needs health, and who's down. Get over and defib them, and you get 50 points. Each 20% of health you heal them with a medkit gets you 20 points. A great thing to do is to find a sniper, and lay a medkit right next to him. He may not need it then, but he might in the future. Oh, and the insignias for healing get unlocked pretty quick.
Alternate (boosting) tactic:
This one requires a buddy, and may be considered boosting, but it works well nonetheless.
Grab a buddy and have him choose engineer. You choose assault. Go to a sniping perch (yes, sniping) and have your buddy shoot a couple RPGs (preferrably at the enemy). Throw him an ammo box. Have him shoot a couple RPGs from the ammo box until it's gone. Rinse and repeat. This one, again, may be considered boosting, but it works, especially if you want some higher-up assault guns. I love me some M16 with 4x scope.

IMO, there is no best weapon or best class, everything is pretty much balanced. If you want to rank fast, use medic or assault. For medic, once you have unlocked the defibrillator and medkit, you could keep reviving or healing for teammates for quick points. Same as assault; keep throwing ammo boxes to your teammates, especially engineers.

Getting stars for weapons %26amp; equipment e.g. silver star = 1000 gold star = 5000 platinum = 10000. Use everything! Stationery guns, land and air vehicles, mortar strikes, C4, AT mines, grenade launchers, hand grenades, the knife, medic class, almost everything on the field has experience medals for you to get. You can view the vehicles and stationery guns in the stats page and everything else in the weapons/gadgets.
most people use classes that they are best in... for example some body are very good with assult rifles, but somebody is super good with sniper...
And i think assult rifles is the best. but it deppens on how ur playing with it...
