As far as i know, there is a achievement when you do a long range kill, 'marksman headshot'. You get bonus points depending on how far you and your target it. My guess would be that it is a 'gauge' to how far the kill was, but it doesn't give you a actual distance.
Or (only possible on private match), plant a tracer dart to the guy you want to snipe, have a engineer beside you and it can tell you the distant between him and you using the rocket launcher. Again, it is impossible on public match. Maybe just for fun.If I snipe someone in bfbc2 how do I know how far away it was?
