Can medics heal themselves on BFBC2?

I realize this is a noob question. I just converted over from MW2 to BFBC2! Best video game decision ever!



Anyway, as a medic, if I get wounded and I toss a med pack, does it heal me or just my teammates? Also, do I only get heal points for healing other people?
