First of all you want to have the spotting sensor attachment on. If you are looking at an enemy through your scope you will get points if any team mate kills them, it will also tell your team mates there are enemies around. Second try directing your squad to certain objectives. when you are attacking or defending just look at the objective and press the select button, this will tell your squad members that they should attack or defend that certain objective. This will give you points and make your squad act as a team (if they decide to follow your leadership). Look out for enemy vehicles and groups of enemies to attack with your mortar strike. Also, look out for enemy snipers. This will be appreciated because they're really annoying if your trying to advance to a certain position. Finally use your motion sensors. Spot people. That is the job of real recon troops. You are not a 1 man super cannon. Call out positions to your teammates. Sharing where the enemy is located is the best gift you can give to your side.

Also, move after a kill. Kill camera will ruin your secret spot. Again real snipers take few shots from the same position and move to avoid detection. You're no help to the team if you're dead. A way to avoid this problem is to just body shoot players one time, softening them up for your buddies to kill. You don't get the glory of the kill count, but they are ripe for your teammates and your position is kept secret.

Motion Mines are also a game changer for you teammates.

Forget C4, take Mortars to soften up defenses before your squad attacks a flag. Also great for taking out tanks and large groups when you see them. There are bottlenecks on maps where people tend to congregate and fight, drop mortars there.
